Medieval Roasting Fork - Hand-forged from iron as in the Middle Ages.

The artfully forged roast fork made of iron is inspired by models from the Middle Ages and forged by hand from a single piece.

The medieval roasting fork made of iron is elegantly curved and has a beautiful cording in the handle area, with the end of the fork artfully forged out into a hand-forged spiral.

Forged roasting forks were already in use in the time of the Celts and Romans, and such forged forks were later also used by the Teutons and Vikings to fish their pieces of meat out of the cauldron.

Forks were not used for eating in the Middle Ages, however, and the Christian Church even wanted to see the usually two-pronged fork as a sign of the devil.

The medieval roasting fork measures 26 x 3 cm.

Perfect for everyday camp life in larp, Viking and medieval reenactment - but of course also a stylish attribute for any recreational barbecue at home.

Legislation in Germany requires food certification in accordance with the Foodstuffs and Consumer Goods Act for use with foodstuffs. However, such a certification is very expensive and would have a negative impact on the favourable sales price. So we offer this forged fork virtually only as a prop, which at least by definition is not certified for food.
