Axe pendant in the shape of a Rus hammer axe.
The expressive axe pendant is modelled on a Viking hammer axe, which was very popular among the Slavs, Bulgarians and Rus.
Axe amulets are known from the time of the Vikings from various sites and were particularly common among the eastern Vikings.
The hammer axe pendant measures 4 x 2 cm.
The hammer axe amulet is made of bronze and also available in genuine silver-plated.
A black leather cord in 1 m length for the axe amulet is included.
The axe was widely used by the Vikings because it was a weapon that was easy to make, required little forging skill and could also be used as a tool. In Viking times, the axe was the most important weapon of the common man, next to the spear, as hardly anyone could afford a sword at that time.
