Viking dress clasp with Midgard serpent.

This expressive Viking dress clasp in the shape of two Midgard serpents is inspired by a Finnish Urnes style sword hilt.

The Urnes style is typical of a variety of jewellery found towards the end of the Viking Age throughout the northern region from Ireland to Russia.

The "Midgard Serpent" dress clasp is very suitable for fastening caftans and cloaks.
The dress clasp is a stylish decorative element for garments in medieval and Viking reenactment.

The Viking dress clasp is available in brass and silver color. Made of Zamak.
Dimensions: 9,5 x 2,5 cm

With needle and thread, the "Midgard Serpent" dress clasp can be easily sewn onto the robe in the openings of the design.

The Urnes Stave Church is located in the small Norwegian village of Ornes on a branch of the Sognefjord. The stave church was built around 1100 and is considered the oldest stave church in the world.

The stave church of Urnes inimitably combines the traditions of Viking art with Celtic influences and building forms of the Romantic period - it gave its name to an entire art movement, the Urnes style.
