This forged pendant in the shape of the Midgard Serpent is inspired by historical serpent pendants of the Viking Age.

Hand forged from one piece of iron, the Midgard Serpent pendant can be worn as a pendant around the neck with the included leather strap or chain.

The Midgard Serpent iron pendant measures 4.5 x 3 cm.


In the mythology of the Vikings, the Midgard Serpent has an important meaning. In the imagination of the North Germanic tribes, it was a mighty sea serpent that enclosed the earth's disk and indicated the end of the world.

As the saga in the Edda tells us, the Midgard Serpent rose at the end of the world, the so-called Ragnarök, to fight with the gods and was finally crushed by Thor with his mighty hammer before he himself died from its poison.
